Carhartt Waterproof Breathable Jackets - Mens

Description: Carhartt's new Waterproof Breathable Jacket is made of durable nylon with a special water-repellent finish. It works as a breathable membrane that allows body heat to leave the garment even as it keeps rain and moisture out. The interior body lining is a 100% polyester mesh. The sleeves and hood are lined in a 100% nylon tafetta. The contoured three-piece hood features an adjustable drawcord and is snap on/off removable. The heavy-duty front zipper has a storm flap. The hem has an elastic drawcord. And there's a right chest map pocket with waterproof zipper closure and two interior pockets with hook-and-loop closure. This is one of Carhartt's most versatile new products.

Excellent Jacket!
Date: January 23, 2010
"I've always had the duck cotton jackets and sworn by them for field work. Nice to see Carhartt get into waterproof and breathable materials. By far the best jacket I've bought for rain and snow. It's lightweight, looks good and it's warm without being clammy inside.
I did have to return my first jacket to get a size smaller (medium) when at 6'1" and 195lbs I normally wear a large. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. Pants are next on the list..."

Buy the jacket and pants!!
Date: January 14, 2010
"I wore the jacket and pants all day in october 2009 when it rained.I operated a forklift that day with no closed top. I did not have one spot on me that was damp. I did not sweat like those rubber suits either. Great stuff, keep up the excellent quality."

Great Jacket
Date: January 7, 2010
"Light weight, and very comfortable. Great for dressing in layers. I wear it over a Carhartt thermal lined sweatshirt and for shoveling snow on my plow route and it is just right. Two suggestions to Carhartt a great addition would be if the sweatshirts could be zipped in as a liner and it it came in safety colors or had some reflective material on it."

Keeps the water out
Date: January 1, 2010
"Comfy jacket, looks good. It can be pouring out and it remains dry inside. The only negative I can see, and this is minor, the nylon or plasticy outer makes noise when moving. Since I am not hunting or trying to be in stealth mood it doesn't matter. The price might seem high, but it is well worth it."

Outstanding Product
Date: November 21, 2009
"I was looking for an outer shell jacket for various outdoor sporting activities at all the sporting goods stores about a year ago. I just wasn't finding the whole package ---- durability, versatility, attractive design and good value until I walked in the local farm supply store and saw the J162 jacket. It beats all the competitors hands down, super functional with layering -- the best outer shell I've owned. Hiking, snowboarding, rigging up and derigging for a day of windsurfing in inclement weather -- the J162 is the real deal!"

Best Summer Jacket Ever
Date: November 17, 2009
"Alaska has the some of the harshest and most extreme weather in the world. This jacket has handled well. We get 50 below F so it isnt a winter jacket...i use a different Carhartt for that. However, for spring summer and fall I would recommend this jacket to anyone. It keeps you dry even in very wet conditions. Easily the most stylish rain coat available...trust me, i gotta be looking good! Every Alaskan appreciates the value of Carhartt...i will continue to be a proud customer. I received a winter coat over 15 years ago in 8th grade and have used it ever since for construction...aside from wear and tear it still keeps we warm and is able to take the abuse. Best work wear ever! Ask an Alaskan and he'll agree...i bet you!"

Keeps you dry!
Date: October 16, 2009
"I bought this jacket the first year it was out, before Carhartt had a womens line. It is my favorite jacket! It's a great all weather jacket that looks great no matter where you are going or what you are doing. I recently wore this jacket along with a pair of Carhartt waterproof pants to a high school football game where it rained through out the entire game. I was completely dry from head to toe! This is one purchase I would make all over again, no regrets. The only complaint would be that the hood falls into my eyes no matter how I try to tighten it."

This Jacket Will Not Let you Down
Date: March 20, 2009
"I've screwed around with other rain gear, and nothing, and I mean nothing comes even close to the quality, durability and comfort of this jacket. It works. I will be buying the winter coat and I will get the pants. I've got two of my buddies to get the jacket and they are on the same page as me. Don't let the price scare you, this is well worth it. I'll swear by it. Carhartt is the best. My dad wears it, I wear it, and my kids will wear it. Go Kenseth!"

Indestructable, but comfortable jacket
Date: March 11, 2009
"This jacket is fantastic - my husband did weeks of research for the ultimate rain jacket that wouldn't quit after one season on and off the tractor, in and out of the greenhouse, etc. Compared to many of the other jackets out there at double the price, this jacket is just as handsome, but solidly heavy duty and everything Carhartt. It's awesome..."

Tested and Approved
Date: January 21, 2009
"No joke, I wore this jacket standing in the rain in Yosemite National Park in November at night for a couple hours trying to light a campfire, never got cold or wet. Love the styling too, I bought it mostly for a fall rain jacket because I really liked the way it looked. I also really like that the sleeves have an inner elastic lining at the wrists that keep the wind from rushing up your sleeve."

good jacket, just OK fit
Date: January 16, 2009
"Most jackets fit me well. This large sized jacket seems a bit extra large. But I'll keep it. I bought it for year round wear. Winter just needs a sweatsirt. Needs a little breaking in. You can move around in it O.K. Shipping and price were good. Same as other places to buy."

great rain jacket
Date: September 24, 2008
"I bought this jacket at the beginning of last summer and after a hard rain when everyone got wet on the farm I work at 3 of my friends went out and bought the jacket because they saw how well it worked. Its great because it keeps me just as dry as those PVC jackets except it looks about 10x better. I keep it behind my seat in my truck so that I have it whenever I need it, even when a storm sneaks up on me."
