Carhartt detroit jacket
Date: March 5, 2010
"This is a GREAT jacket for us workers in the north west. My Dad's work (Amerigas) got these jackets for all the drivers in the plant. I have two of these jackets, one with a hood, and then this one. Both are great! Keep you warm on cold nights watching the local high school football games. They also seem to repel water relatively well (Even though they aren't made for it). Great jacket and you can't beat the Carhartt name!"

You'll want 2 of these!!!
Date: February 10, 2010
"This is the toughest jacket I have ever purchased. It will undoubtedly laugh at anything you throw its way. If you work under tough conditions then this is the jacket you need! It will also smack the wind right in the face so no need to worry about working in cold and windy conditions. It will last a lifetime!! So why 2?? It is an extremely sharp looking jacket and you'll want another one for going out with the ladies on Friday and Saturday nights!!"

"Got this jacket about a week ago and I love it. This jacket fits me better than any jacket I have ever owned. It is the quality I would come to expect from Carhartt."

Great jacket for hard working men
Date: January 16, 2010
"I purchased this jacket for my husband for Christmas so he would have a good jacket for his work (construction drywall). He is 6'5" tall, but only 200 pounds. It is hard to find jackets that fit him in sleeve length without making him look like he is swimming in the jacket.
I was a little hesitant about the jacket when I first received it, because the outer shell was pretty stiff. However, my husband loved it immediately. It is the first jacket he has owned that actually fits him. We washed it once and the material was far more flexible. He does alot of bending and stretching, and he says this jacket is superbly comfortable. The waist sits high enough that it doesn't interfere with his tool belt, and the extra "cuts" in the back allow him to move and extend his arms freely without cutting or binding. It also has enough room for him to layer, as Phoenix can have wide single-day temperature variances. Finally, while this may be a biased opinion, the jacket looks great on him and has a very handsome cut.
My only problem now is that he likes the jacket so much that he doesn't want to wear it to work anymore because it gets covered in drywall dust and mud, and he like to wear it outside of work. I guess I will be buying him a second Detroit jacket so he can have one to knock around in and one to get dirty at work."

Strong and Warm Coat
Date: January 9, 2010
"I work in the power generating industry and I needed a jacket that was comfortable and durable for the day to day work of removing and installing large bulky pieces of equipment without limiting movement of the body. This jacket has definitely lived up to this with no problems. This is a jacket that will keep you warm in the winters of southern California. It is a extremely comfortable jacket that I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a warm, comfortable, and durable work jacket."

Excellent
Date: January 1, 2010
"I've had one of these jackets for many years. It's quite shabby and my wife doesn't like to be seen with me when I wear it, but I still think it's great! It's warmer than it looks. Yea, she has finally talked me into buying a replacement. And yes, it's another J01. Thanks for the great product"

exceptional quality
Date: December 8, 2009
"I think my Detroit jacket is going on 10 years old. Its practically white, ends of sleeves are frayed, blanket lining is very worn, and its amazingly comfortable, still warm and somewhat wind resistant. I got a new one (sandstone) for Christmas a few years back but my old one is still my favorite. Thanks for a great product."

Best Coat I Ever Owned
Date: November 14, 2009
"I have owned one of these coats for years, in fact the only reason I don’t still have it is that it was stolen (I guess someone else liked it too). This coat is one of the most durable you will ever buy, the only wear mine got from years of work in the woods and around the family farm was the ends of the sleeves coming apart and, some general minor wear and tear. This is the best coat I have ever owned and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new coat, you will not find better quality anywhere."

Perfect and reliable
Date: October 2, 2009
"One of the best. Amazing value for the money. Breaks in well, comfortable on the first wear and like a good pair of jeans, breaks in on you, and develops more character with time. This will be my third and definitely not my last. Have given away my others to friends in an effort to get them to see how good this jacket is. The blanket lining is fantastic for even shorter mid-winter wear, and ideal for fall and early spring. Does just as well in the city as in the country."

Best Jacket Ever!!!
Date: January 17, 2009
"I purchased this jacket to replace the exact same jacket that I had been wearing for the last 10 years. 10 years in the construction biz for a jacket is awesome!! The jacket is extremely durable and very comfortable to wear. I also have the snap on hood which helps when its windy or extremely cold outside. Its warm enough by itself but not too heavy so you can layer underneath if needed. The short cut also is great for mobility and does not restrict movement. This is the best jacket that I have ever owned!!!"

Great everyday jacket
Date: January 16, 2009
"I purchased for my son. While the fit was a little short, the overall quality and comfort is good. It's a good everyday type jacket for cool to moderately cold weather. He likes it."

Great All around jacket
Date: December 4, 2008
"I wanted a jacket to wear when being out doors. works great, not as good in the wind because the cuff are open. if your looking for a jacket to wear when it is just cold the blanket lined gets the job done."
