"I ordered this for my Daughter who is in the Merchant Marines. She is on a Ship near Germany and it is very cold out on the water. She LOVES this product. I also got her the hood to help shield the wind. She said this was the best artic product she has EVER seen. Fits well and VERY durable. Keeps her very warm. Over” Happy Camper - “The day is overcast and gray. The wind is up roughly at 20 knots out of the south. And it very cold, winds and unspeakable windchill temps -39F for the low and -12F for the high, Over” South Pole - “Roger That, Over and Out” Happy Camper - “Over and Out” Called out at 6am to take Snow Craft 101, aka Happy Camper to learn survival skills to endure the frigid Antarctic for 29 hours. No worries when I have my Carhartt Stlye # X06 Men’s Extremes® Coverall / Arctic Quilt-Lined (and a cup of coffee…) – it’s like taking my sleeping bag along with me, only decidedly more functional – thanks to its ingenious 1000-denier Cordura®, water-repellent nylon, it is lined with Carhartts warmest arctic-weight quilted nylon polyester. It features snaps under the collar for an optional hood (A113 Extremes Hood), double knees and ankle-to-waist, two-way leg zippers with protective wind flaps and snap closures. Convenient exterior chest pockets zip shut for security, which allows full range of motion when I’m reaching for my work tools. “How was your night ?” That is the usual smirking comment I got when I enter the camp open air kitchen in the morning on Ross Island Sea Ice Shelf sporting my Carhartt Men’s Extremes® Arctic Quilt-Lined / Coverall. It is usually spoken by someone utterly envious of my garb. Why suffer? I’m in Antarctica on an Ice Shelf, it’s cold and windy, and I want warmth, but I’m built for comfort I stay in my Coveralls all day when our temps dip down so low it hurts to even look at the thermometer. And you know what? I’m comfy. But although it’s nice inside a tent. The Coveralls’ keeps me dry and protected from wind too; when out on the ice shelf waiting for a Delta to arrive from McMurdo “Mac Town”, it’s a real treat to be wearing my Men’s Extremes® Coverall / Arctic Quilt-Lined. "New job required me to be outside all day. Tried different brands. These turned out to be the best. Didn't feel as bulky to work in like the overalls and coat option.
