excellent product
Date: December 3, 2009
"After 12 years of commercial sheet metal construction, and many fishing trips, mine is still in great condition. there are a few punture holes, and some minor fraying on the sleeves near the wrist, but other than that it looks great (despite the oil stains and dry caulk.) All the stitching is still well intact, and the fabric is as strong as the day i bought it. And it fits great."

Tougher Than Anything Else
Date: October 26, 2009
"I've been a falconer for almost 50 years; that's someone who hunts with trained hawks and falcons. The country I hunt in has briars that have literally destroyed every hunting coat I've ever used before in less than two years. Well, it's taken about 8 years to get my moss green Carhartt C26 ragged enough around the edges that I'm thinking about replacing it. And it's only for pride's sake as the coat is still fully functional! GREAT product that I'd recommend to anyone."

best winter defense
Date: October 14, 2009
"This coat simply stops the wind, a specialty in N Dakota. This is my "work" coat. Although it wears like iron, I'm about to get another one so I can have a nice one for non work situations.
I have a down filled jacket that is very warm, but feels like a space suit compared to my comfy C26, proving to me that wind stopping ability trumps loft!

A Keeper
Date: March 10, 2009
"Warm, durable coat, this is my second coat of this type, purchased my 1st one over 30 yrs ago and I still wear it....just wanted another color. First one was brown duck, this one is green, would have liked red or navy. Long hip length coat keeps lower back warm, water repellency excellent, also purchased hood, fantastic wind blocker and very warm in frigid temps with extreme wind chill temps, knit cuffs keep wind and precip from going up sleeves. Use for work and pleasure work conditions constantly change. Am a truck driver hauling hazardous materials....many load sites are in Port Newark and Port of Phila along river which can be very extreme. Excellent coat in reducing static charge build up common in other non Carhartt coats."

Great For Both Work and Play
Date: January 16, 2009
"I work outdoors and in unheated warehouse space sorting and loading freight and had originally bought the coat for those purposes. Quickly learned that it was warmer, more wind resistent and easier to move around in than my than my other "recreational' gear. Now wear it for work and play. I am active in many outdoor winter recreational activities and the Carhart Coat is up to all the challenges of keeping me warm, while allowing the range of motion needed to support both my work and winter activities whether it be ice fishing, sledding, tailgating, hunting etc. The fit, quality, style and most importantly the functionality are of the highest levels."

Durable but bulky
Date: January 15, 2009
"This coat is extremely durable, but is a little bulky. The liner seems to add to the size of the coat. It is the warmest coat I have ever put on, though! I would recommend this coat, but it may be worth getting a size smaller than usual (or trying one on at a store prior to purchasing)."

Long lasting quality
Date: January 3, 2009
"My Carhartt coat was 10 years old and needed to be replaced. I don't why it wore out, just because I used it every day for work 9 months out of the year, but its hard to find quality. So I bought a new Carhartt, its warm, has a rugged shell, and even looks good! Thanks again Carhartt, see you in about 10 years."

It Literally Saved My Life
Date: October 29, 2008
"Growing up in the Upper Midwest we spend alot of cold falls and winters hunting. When I think cold and hunting I think Carhartt. 10 years ago while pheasant hunting on opening day, I dawned my artic quilted Carhartt coat and headed out into sub freezing temputures. I was hunting with two friends of mine and I chose to hunt the standing corn and they chose to walk the fence row. After walking 100 yards, I found myself lying on the ground, thinking I had gotten struck by lightening. It turns out the both had shot me on accident while trying to shoot a bird that had just cleared the corn. On further inspection and a trip to the hospital, I had twenty six pellets throughout my left side and in my head. I had 14 pellets in my head and six pellets on the left side of my back and in my arm pit area, the rest were in my neck and arms. I am happy to say that all is well, but I think if I hadn't been wearing my Carhartt jacket those six pellets probably would have penatrated the left side of my torso, possibly hitting my heart. So, a big thanks to Carhartt for a great product."
